Eight hectares of wheat, olive and grape production, bordering the Natural Oasis of Ninfa and managed by Mrs. Franca Battista, owner of the company, recipe mastermind and head of production, and Giacomo Maggiaro, sales & marketing director.
The company was founded in 1968, when the Nardone family, a family of farmers from Benevento, bought the farm. Initially, the farm's main activity was the cultivation of fruit, along with the production of oil and a small cattle farm. In the seventies, wheat replaced fruit and new olive trees were planted to increase production.
In 1999, the running of the company was passed down to Mrs. Battista, Mrs. Carmela Nardone's daughter-in-law, who set the company on its path to organic conversion, obtaining full organic certification in 2008, and began to transform the farm's raw materials into dry pastries.
The pastry workshop was established in the laboratory located at the farm's centre, boasting a scenic backdrop of splendid olive trees. In 2018, in order to better meet the demands of the Northern European market, a new production unit was set up in Biella, where all the company's raw materials, sent directly from the farm in Sermoneta, are processed.
The wheat seeds are produced by the company itself. The raw materials for the biscuits are largely produced on the farm, while the sugar, cocoa and coffee are fair trade and organically grown. Fertilisation is carried out using exclusively farm products and is free from chemical substances.
«Fresh» ground wheat is used for processing, according to production needs.
The farm is Suolo e Salute certified organic and is in the process of obtaining BRC/IFS certification
