The Gentili farm was founded in 1979 by Carlo Gentili who, with limited funds, decided to build a cellar in a XV century courtyard and plant vineyards on the surrounding land between Monte Baldo and Lake Garda.
For thirty years the production was oriented towards bulk sale to other wineries but in 2010, under the management of Carlo’s children Enrico and Elisa, the company began to give value to the winemaking and enological potential of its vines and the recovery of local traditions.
One of the company’s strengths is the opportunity to harvest grapes from vineyards of considerable age, between 20 and 60 years, cultivated in the most part using the traditional Pergola system, which is perfectly suited to the climatic conditions of the territory.
Although as yet the Gentili farm is not certified organic, it believes in respecting and protecting the environment and the territory, which is why it has adopted good practices that allow for an agricultural system that respects the soil, the plants, the water resources, the workers and the consumers.
At the end of the production process, the company completes the arduous work carried out in the vineyards, refining the best techniques in the cellar to add value and enhance the typical characteristics of the local territory.
