La Talpina was founded in April 2000. It is an artisanal laboratory located in Genola, a small town nestled in the Cuneese plains (Piedmont) with a deeply rooted farming culture, where the memory of "old" country-style delights, still prepared traditionally, is more alive then ever.
And it is exactly in this environment that La Talpina (Sara and Franco) researches and produces ancient recipes, that are almost always extracted from local memory. The company strongly believes in recipes based on high quality raw ingredients: exclusively Piedmont hazelnuts, only extra dark chocolate, butter, top quality flour and no added colourants, additives or anything else that could alter the natural characteristics and genuine flavour of their products. Preserving artisanal production systems in compliance with  respective norms is also fundamental: through this they hope to offer consumers the opportunity to discover or relive the aromas of these ancient flavours.
Quaquare di Genola, Baci di dama, Meliga biscuits, hazelnut Lose biscuits, soft hazelnut cakes, chestnuts, almonds, Muscat and Marsala Zabaione are just some of the products that best  represent La Talpina, while its myriad of other specialities are sure to make your mouth water.
