Ever since 1936, when Cesare Rondolino purchased the Torrone della Colombara estate, famous for its fertile and water-rich soil, growing rice has been a family love affair. His son Piero followed the tradition of his father, and in the year 2000 he decided to plant only the Carnaroli variety of rice, to obtain a very pure grain.
Acquerello is a super-fine Carnaroli rice, unique in the world, grown and processed with techniques that are a mix of innovation and tradition. The different processes of ageing, processing and germ enrichment make Acquerello better, richer and healthier. It is the only rice that combines the cooking simplicity of white rice with the important nutritional elements contained only in brown rice. To preserve its quality it is sold in practical vacuum cans of various sizes.
Processing and packaging are carried out with care directly at the farm, fully respecting nature and the surrounding habitat.
