Birrificio Artigiano Opera produces its beer in a 600 square metre brewery to the east of Pavia. The Pavia plain is one of Italy’s most ideal and best-suited areas for growing rice and cereals. The secret to their inimitable taste is the unique natural composition of the soil and the quality of the water, which are the base for Opera’s products. The brewery’s beers are based on classic styles, and the malts and hops are sourced where these styles originated: Belgium, England, America and the Czech Republic. The plant has a 12-hl brew house and eight 13-hl fermentation vats, as well as two 24-hl fermentation vats. The beer produced by Opera is natural, unpasteurized, non-carbonated, unfiltered, free from chemical additives and extremely light.
