Baci di Dama - Lady's Kisses

Pack 125g

Baci di dama were invented in Tortona in the nineteenth century and were originally made with Piedmontese hazelnuts; legend has it that the "lady's kisses" arrived on our tables thanks to the imagination of a cook from the House of Savoy, who created them in the autumn of 1852 at the request of King Victor Emanuel II, who wanted to taste a new dessert. The Lady's Kisses, so called because the two halves of biscuit they are made up of recall two lips stretched out to kiss, were so successful that they soon spread to more and more tables in Italy and Europe. Still today they are an essential part of a Piedmotese pastry assortment. Tempting and fragrant, Baci di dama are perfect to serve with afternoon tea or at

the end of a meal with coffee.
