The Slitti company was founded in 1969 as a coffee roaster, standing out from others in the area for the quality of its product. In 1989, the owner's sons Andrea and Daniele joined the company and production was expanded with the addition of processing cocoa. Passion, skill and continuous research have led to innovative and unique products that set the company apart in the world of chocolate. It wasn't long before the company began enjoying success in international chocolate competitions, which attracted the attention of the media and a growing demand for its products. This led the company towards rapid development and the need to build a new laboratory, with an architectural structure focused on saving energy and green building. In 2012 the new laboratory became operative, satisfying production requests from its customer's. Slitti is among the most important names in the world of handmade chocolate and its product range is available in over 25 countries.
The company won 6 medals at the 2019 International Chocolate Awards: 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze.
