The company, founded in 1976, has always been a family business. Located near the Fonte Ciane nature reserve in Syracuse for over 20 years, thanks to the passion of Valter Mazzarella, it boasts a completely organic production of its own citrus fruits, including the Syracuse femminello IGP lemon. It is the first company to be registered with the "Consortium for the Protection of the Syracuse Lemon IGP" both as a producer and as a processor.
Producers of high quality citrus fruits since forever, in 2017, his son Gabriele decided to return to Sicily to invest in the land of his birth and in his father's company through a process of corporate restyling. And so, a project dedicated not only to citrus fruit production but also to its processing was launched, using and revisiting old family recipes.
The peel of lemons, oranges and mandarins have given life to our liqueurs: mandarin flavoured Amante liqueur; "Syracuse Lemon IGP" flavoured Zahara liqueur; Syracuse Limoncello; Arancello.
Every liqueur is produced in a traditional way, with attention to detail and in close contact with nature. Only first-choice citrus fruits are used from the company's own trees, harvested during optimal maturation periods, to facilitate the release of essential oils from the rinds during infusion. Lemons, oranges and mandarins are processed in the same day, from harvesting to peeling by hand.
It is all thanks to the attention to detail and to the particular production techniques that only high quality citrus fruits make high quality liqueurs, each designed for a different palate, in order to best satisfy the tastes of the public while rediscovering the traditions, flavours and aromas of the land of Sicily.
In 2019 the company was certified as compliant with the dietary rules of the Kosher Parve Jewish legislation (excluding Pesach).
