Azienda Agricola La Guarda is a farm located in Castrezzone Muscoline, on the Brescia shore of Lake Garda, surrounded by the Morainic hills of the Valtenesi area, which is particularly suited to the cultivation of vines and olive trees.< br/> The farm spans 20 hectares and two hills, at an altitude of between 320 and 370 metres above sea level. The stony, sandy soil and the dry, windy climate create a microclimate so that grapes grown there (red Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese Barbera and white Riesling Renano) can produce wines with ethereal bouquets and divine flavours.
The enterprise is family-run: Luigi is the fourth generation to get involved, and he too is passionate about continuing the tradition.< br/> From the pressing of the grapes the following wines are obtained: Valtenesi DOC, Valtenesi Chiaretto DOC, Groppello DOC, Riesling DOC, Marzemino DOC and Sangiovese IGT. Production ranges from Inchino, the only Groppello Chinato, to Brut 105, a sparkling wine available as both a rosé and a white wine. In addition, the olives from about 400 olive trees of the Leccino and Casaliva varieties are harvested to obtain a very sweet and fruity extra virgin olive oil.
The farm promotes wine tourism, aimed at making the territory and its products better known.
