This Valtellina Superiore DOCG wine is obtained from the vinification of over-ripe Nebbiolo grapes harvested along the Rhaetian coasts, between the municipalities of Teglio and Tirano. Vinification involves the ginning of the grapes and de-stemming. Fermentation is followed by maceration in red and ageing in barriques and second-passage tonneaux. After two years of ageing, the wine develops in harmony, complexity and elegance, with notes of raspberry, currant and violet. It ages well, thanks to its origin, grape variety and character. It grows in complexity and perfection in the bottle for at least 10-12 years.
