The farm is located in the heart of Umbria, between Perugia and Assisi, in Miralduolo di Torgiano.
The vineyard stretches across 52 hectares, all certified organic, on the wonderful hill of Miralduolo.
Fifteen varieties of vine are cultivated here. About thirty hectares are used for traditional vineyards, while the remaining 22 are part of the experimental vineyard. White grape wines: eight (Trebbiano, Grechetto, Chardonnay and Fiano in addition to Traminer, Pecorino, Semillon and Viognier). Red grape wines: seven (Sangiovese, Canajolo, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Malbech and Petit Verdot).
In fact, in line with a family tradition that has always been oriented towards innovation and the pursuit of perfection, the company has a cellar where small quantities of different vines are processed so the yields of each can be tested and the winemaking process optimised in relation to the unique characteristics of the Torgiano land.
To date, the company produces seven wine labels including DOCG Torgiano Rosso Riserva, DOC Torgiano Bianco, DOC Torgiano Rosso and Umbria IGT for a total of 120,000 bottles. In addition, following very important research carried out in France in collaboration with the National Institute of Oenology and the National Institute of Forest Management, Terre Margaritelli now uses only certified French oak barriques from the Bertrange Forest.
The oak of the Bertrange Forest has been chosen over 20 other tested forests since it is very delicate and never covers up the primary characteristics of the particular grape variety.
