The vineyard stretches over about 15 hectares on medium-high hills close to the Foro River valley, along the route from the Adriatic Sea to Majella. In the south-facing moderately loose soil Gigliotto Tenute grows the local vines Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Cococciola and Malvasia all of which impart particular qualities. International vines such as Chardonnay are also grown.
The company's solid foundation and entrepreneurial drive are reflected in the commitment that the De Luca family shows in the maintenance of the vineyards, in the grape harvest and in the winemaking which uses state-of-the-art technology. The family have a strong desire to obtain quality wines while fully respecting the land and its traditions.
The highly agricultural environm ent and a natural leaning towards the ancient Abruzzese folk traditions have allowed the company to unite their activity with a passion for folklore and folk music, ancient crafts and the culinary specialities of a region still very much tied to its farming past.
Wine tastings combined with typical local products are made even more enjoyable by the county-style environment and the warm hospitality of the hosts.
