Located on the well-known banks of Lombardy side of Lake Maggiore between Angera and Ranco, Piano Farmhouse is now a renowned benchmark for wine, due to the quality of its own "Ronchi Varesini" IGT wines. Launched in 2003, the winery has emerged as a pioneer of IGT Ronchi Varesini certification by applying its business ethic of quality, experimentation and close ties to the land of "Ronchi Varesini" and "Lago Maggiore". Quality, a virtue which is ambitiously pursued by the company, is obtained through a harmonious fusion of the land, research, innovation and development. Standards are governed by the "IGT Ronchi Varesini" with a continuous drive towards improvement, in order to ensure ever-improving quality. Piano farmhouse has chosen to promote vines which are native to the land by pursuing and rediscovering almost forgotten varieties and selecting new varieties to be included in the IGT. Both in the vineyard and in the cellar, Piano Farmhouse follows the advice of "Ampelidea" (specialists in winegrowing and oenology) who guide the use of new cultivation and winemaking techniques. From the labels inspired by the frescoes found across the land, to the names which reflect local history and toponymy as well as the sayings and poems mentioned on the bottles, all aspects of presentation aim to depict the historical and artistic values of the area.
