Sicilia Nero d'Avola DOC comes from Terra Nera black soil. It is made with Nero d'Avola grapes only. The vineyard lies at an altitude of about 120m a.s.l. The soil is very dark, almost black, medium to firm, with a presence of small dark stones. Nero d'Avola has been produced here for about twenty years, called Il Moro. It has a good structure and a bouquet of small red fruits, blackberries, raspberries and black cherries, blending with a dark chocolate scent.
