SOLE (SO.tto L’Equatore - below the equator) is a voluntary organisation that for the last 16 years has been offering study, training and business development opportunities in Italy, Mozambique and Burkina Faso.
Financed in a careful and transparent way, through the dedicated voluntary work of its members, remote support, fair trade "favours" and selected delicacies from the fair trade circuit and small producers of Italian excellence, as there can be no solidarity without justice.
With the commitment to managing funds efficiently and transparently, the partners of this initiative are:
LiberoMondo, a cooperative that has been promoting the principles of fair trade since 1997. It does so by supporting communities of producers in the southern hemisphere and by creating job opportunities in Italy, aimed in particular at people excluded from normal employment channels.
Le Terre Di Zoè Organic Farm; Zoè comes from ancient Greek and signifies the "essence of life". Here, the essence is fruit and the all-encompassing experience of fruit through the "5 senses". In fact, it is precisely the senses that are involved in all the phases that lead to the harvesting and processing of the organic fruit from this Calabrian farm, that you can taste in their citrus fruit compote creations.
Libera Terra; true excellence guides the work of this Association. A much needed commitment to restore value and beauty to lands freed from the hands of the mafia. Using only the best raw materials from organic farming.
Per Tutti i Gusti; Patrizia and her mother Caterina produce delicacies that are closely linked to their territory and the Langhe tradition in their culinary workshop in Barbaresco, Cuneo. The raw materials come from the family's fields and respect the natural course of the seasons.
Roberto Garbarino Farm; Roberto Garbarino's wine recounts the year gone by, the seasons but above all its direct connection to the Terra di Langa territory. His wine is the result of passion, commitment and dedication. In the municipality of Neviglie (Cuneo), the steep slopes of clay soils with sandy veins create the perfect environment for wines of excellent quality.
Cantine di Castignano Winery; grape vines of undeniable value. Some of these selected native varieties represent the true identity of wine-makin in Castignano, in the province of Ascoli Piceno, a land that is strongly influenced by the crisp and salty air of the Adriatic sea.
Grapperia Artigianale Alì; recognised as a Piedmont regional Artisan of Excellence. As a small family business, they are able to create liqueurs and grappas following ancient Langhe recipes.
