Tai DOC Piave has been cultivated in the Treviso plains for over a century, it expresses a slightly salty aroma and a typical bouquet accompanied by subtle aromas of wild flowers and white fruits.
It stands out for its characteristic note of bitter almonds on the tongue.
The Tai was originally called the Tocai, but it was re-named in 2007 following a complaint made by Hungary to the European Union about the name's similarity to that of its most famous wine, the Tokaij, even though they are produced from different grape varieties. Interestingly, the word Tai comes from the Friulian language and is used to define a full glass of wine.
Cantina Rechsteiner produces quality Venetian wines with respect for tradition and with the help of modern technologies.
